Hi everyone, and welcome to our first newsletter for the Centennial Hills Kiwanis club.  I am Ron "Cash" Twist, and I will be working to get a news letter out by the 15th or so of every month.   You can post this link in e mails to friends and other club members and also find a link on our website  www.kiwanisclubofcentennialhills.org.  (or click here) Our Website

We are a 3-2-1 club. 3 hours of service,  2 hours social, and 1 hour meeting.  Our meetings are held on the last Weds. of the month at the Fire Rock Steakhouse on Centennial (near Tropical... map is on the web site)

Our meeting on June 26 was well attended, and our speaker was JC Arens from the VFW. There are a lot of programs out there for VETS and he is the man to lead you through the maze. his contact info is as follows    (702)845-3355  or email: VFWJC@cox.net.



Birthday wishes this month to Michele Fiore (July 29) and congratz for being named Mayor Pro Tem!

JULY 4TH


For the second year the Kiwanis Club of Centennial Hills Members volunteered at the 4th of July Fireworks Celebration! This fun event Sponsored by our  Mayor Pro Tem Michele Fiore had over 5000 attendees #loveward6 #lovelasvegas #kidsneedkiwanis! 

Members in attendance were Denise Page, Karl and Stephanie Ferazzi and Stoney and Todd McGaughey, they assisted with the reception booth, greeting families and distributed flags, gifts and red, white and blue necklaces. Great event for the whole community!

 WELCOME! our 2 newest members Stoney McGaughey and his son Todd McGaughey. 

 Richard Stone (Stoney) McGaughey, born March 19, 1951 in Crawfordsville, Indiana. Lived in Crawfordsville until December 2017 when we retried.  Attended  Vincennes University (degree in Applied Land Title Technology), served 4 years in the USAF from June 1971 until June 1975.  Worked at Security Abstract & Title Co. in Crawfordsville from 1975 until I retired. Attended Wabash College graduated in 1984, Bachelor of Arts, attended Indiana University Law School graduated in 1987 (Law Degree). Was an Abstractor and practiced real estate law (primarily)  until retirement Was married to Helen,  in December 18, 1972 we had two great children, Chad , who is married with a 2 ½ year old girl and still living in Indiana  and Todd (who is the newest member of our club) who is married with a 2 year old girl.  My wife passed away in March 2019.  I have found Las Vegas a great place to live and hope to continue doing so for many more years.



Todd McGaughey  I grew up in Indiana, graduated from Indiana University with a finance degree, and moved to the beautiful city of Las Vegas in 2006 with my wife, Jess.  By day, I work for UnitedHealthcare as a data analytics & process improvement consultant for the past 12 years.  By night, spending time with my daughter, Alice (born 2017), our senior beagle, Max, and family or friends.  When time permits, you can find me working on projects around the house, watching GT racing, RC car racing, or gaming on my pc.

* Days for Girls ...on June 22nd members Susan and CT Wang, Stoney McGaughey and Cristina von lindenberg represented our club at the K1 Days for Girls where over 100 Kiwanis , Circle K and Key Club members participated. We all, draw, cut, sewed and had a great time!

SUMMER SALSTICE BOWLING





"Solstice Summer Bowling" a fundraiser for the Mission HS Key Club sponsored by the Kiwanis club of SW Las Vegas. Many clubs in the Valley attended.
We had a 
great representation from our Centennial Hills Club, in attendance were: Denise Page, Stoney McGaughey and his son Todd McGaughey.

Alena Sheehan, she took a few wins like most strikes and highest record.
